The Gemini Space Entrepreneurship Incubator is a highly selective, global, world-class practical entrepreneurship training program. At the dawn of a new era where New Space is to the world as Information Communications Technology (ICT) was in the late 20th century, Gemini is growing to become a globally accessible force of education for innovative minds who want to learn what it takes to turn an idea into a high impact organisation with an international reach, offering products and services directly within or adjacent to the booming global space sector.

What is Gemini?

The Gemini Space Entrepreneurship Incubator is a 12-week international program designed to stimulate the growth of new and valuable ideas, empower individuals with the tools needed to turn an idea into a financially sustainable and investable venture, and to facilitate the growth of an international network of entrepreneurs who are keen to work together to reinvent traditional space-based supply chains to offer cheaper and better value to end consumers all over the world and beyond.

Space technology forms the foundation of all major economic sectors and corners of society, and today due to miniaturisation of powerful technology it’s now possible to start a legitimate space program in a home garage for less than the cost of a fast food franchise.

Unlike most accelerator programs, Gemini has a large focus on the individual or team, and takes no equity in your startup. We want to empower participants with the tools you need to create truly great ideas and to develop them into a business - whether you're an academic researcher looking to commercialise your research, a manager looking to understand how to lead an innovative team within your organisation, or an individual who would love to build your own space business, Gemini is the program for you.

Program Schedule

Gemini is a 12-week course adding up to around 36 hours of classroom and coordinated activity. The course has been built as a hybrid online-offline program. Special guests speaking each week will be live streamed to participants all around the world, and participants are encouraged and expected to upload video blogs of their progress to share and gain feedback from their peers and mentors.

We facilitate the program around our local partners in key cities, where we will run events with local participants. It is important to us that we conduct a scalable and beneficial program for participants all around the globe to be as accessible as possible, while creating a frictionless environment for engagement between everyone involved.

Participants will get out from the program as much as they put in. Each week we will introduce participants to critical theory, but most of the value is through guiding participants on getting 'out of the office', interviewing potential customers, updating their business models, and sharing their learning with peers and mentors.

The program is designed to be flexible enough to participate in addition to working a full-time job.

  • 2 hour special guest discussion with an experienced space entrepreneur
  • Interview at least 5 potential customers
  • Share how the interviews have altered your business model assumptions through a 5-10 minute video blog
  • Meet with a mentor and an allocated peer to discuss your latest developments

Fees and Expectations

In 2017 the Gemini Space Entrepreneurship Incubator will cost participating individuals USD$1200.

The Gemini program will give participants the tools and skills necessary to be an innovative leader, armed with proven strategies for executing valuable ventures in the face of uncertainty. Unlike an online course, you will be expected to share your experiences while getting 'out of the office', meeting potential customers, and evolving your business model assumptions.

Of great value is your peer network, and the access to a global network of experienced mentors and alumni.
